SeaWorld Orlando is one of the big three theme parks in Orlando, yet for as many times as my family has been to central Florida, the boys had yet to visit this attraction. We decided to remedy that on a recent visit.

The shows at SeaWorld Orlando are still a main attraction, but they’ve added thrill rides like the Kracken and Manta roller coasters. My son wasn’t sure what to expect at SeaWorld Orlando, he figured it was like the Georgia Aquarium here in Atlanta. Turns out there were animal exhibits, but a whole lot more.

The shows were a big hit, although he asked more than once – What is Shamu? Thankfully, after we caught the show the questions ended. He wasn’t tall enough for the big roller coasters, but he did enjoy the tamer Shamu Express and the three story netted playground with tunnels and tire swings high in the air. I asked him to tell me in his own words what was his favorite part of SeaWorld Orlando and what tips he’d have for other guests. Here’s what he said.

Gatorland

Orlando is the one of the top spring break destinations for families. Although we love Walt Disney World, there are lots of other fabulously fun attractions in Orlando and we talked about a few of them. In our second hour we stayed close to home and talked about fun indoor activities that can get your crew’s blood pumping  and even engage the moody tweens and teens. Here’s more details on what we discussed, as well as a link to the actual video segments (just in case you weren’t glued to your TV in the wee hours of the morning.
