Laughing Pizza is one of my youngest’s favorite bands. We saw this family rocker trio when they played at GPTV and have been bopping to them ever since. One of my son’s favorite’s is “Wait a Minute Emily.” He relates to poor Pizza daughter Emily’s dilemma when her dad wants to pop in to Target for “just a minute.” Rounding out the trio are Lisa and Billy (Mom and Dad Pizza), both award winning song-writers and classically trained musicians, having attended Julliard and Berklee. In addition, they’re both former music teachers. All this makes for an energetic, dance party, sing-a-long show that is sure to be a hit with both you and your kids. On Nov. 6, the group is playing at the Buckhead Theatre on the final stop of their “Give To Get” Georgia PBS Tour. The main event is the Laughing Pizza concert at 4 pm, but come at 2:30 for the family fun festival. Circus Camp will be hosting a Circus Camp Experience with stilt walkers, jugglers, clowns and face painting. In addition, they’ll even have an interactive aerial demonstration. Also taking the stage is Atlanta’s own African drumming group, Giwayen Mata. More family friendly participants are being announced soon.
