I recently read a synopsis of a study in the Journal of Consumer Psychology stating that if money doesn’t buy happiness, it’s because you aren’t spending it right. According to the report, to be happy with your money (and they don’t mean just millionaires), use it to purchase experiences, not things. As we approach Father’s Day, maybe forgo the new grill or the golf club and give Dad a Father’s Day Gift experience he won’t forget, like say a drive along in a race car or hang gliding. For the more academic types, maybe wine school.
