Yesterday on CBS Better Mornings Atlanta I met Harriet Tubman and Fredrick Douglas. They did a performance last night, but I asked them to send me info on where they’ll be in the future so I can let all of you know. As Black History Month gets under way, I’m sure there are lots of fabulous events. If you know of some good ones, let us know or post something on the Field Trips with Sue facebook page.

Bass Pro Shops have some great free activities and the latest is Santa’s Wonderland. There are free games and activities, crafts, and free photos with Santa. For a full schedule, click here. Games and activities include slot racing, soft gun arcade, remote control cars, a laser arcade and more. I’d never get my kids out of there.

Crafts are done on weekends and change each week. The first week is a Chrismoose ornament, then a reindeer cone ornament, santa bobber, reindeer hat, reindeer candy cane and finally cookie decorating.

If you don’t want to wait in line to see Santa, no worries. At Bass Pro Shops, if Santa is busy with photos and the line requires a wait longer then 30 minutes, find one of the Bass Pro Shop elves and they’ll give you a Bass Pass. The pass allows you to come back at an appointed time.
