When: Every Monday and Thursday, Mar. – Oct. (weather permitting)
5:30 – 6:30 pm for kids 8 – 12
6:30 – 7:30 pm for kids 13-16
Cost: Free for East Point Residents (others are asked to make a once yearly donation of $50 if family budgets allow) (donations accepted)
The Dick Lane Velodrome in East Point allows kids to ride around the big Velodrome track and they offer a free Bicycle Little League program for kids ages 8 – 16 years old to show them how to do it safely.
The program is coached by experienced bicycle riders and racers and shows children how to safely operate their bikes on the banked track. Once they get comfortable, they’ll have the opportunity to compete under the close supervision of the coaches and under the lights during Pro Race Series events.
Classes aren’t held when it’s raining, so check the weather page before going out. Bikes and helmets are provided, so you don’t need to haul a bike with you.
