I’m a little embarrassed to say we haven’t seen a Braves game yet this year. We may redeem ourselves on Sunday. It’s the Ultimate Kids Day, which means kids 14 and younger get $5 tickets plus all the pitching and hitting games in Scout’s Alley and entry into the Braves Museum for FREE! Kids also have the opportunity to participate in a pre-game parade around the field and run the bases after the game. Plus, Braves alumni Charlie O’Brien, Gaylord Perry, and Sid Bream will sign autographs at 11:30 in Fan Plaza.
In addition, the Braves will celebrate Homer’s birthday with some of his favorite mascot friends including Harry the Hawk, Star from the Atlanta Dream, Chopper from the Gwinnett Braves, Punce from Georgia State University, Aaron’s Lucky Dog, the Chick-fil-A cows and more. Homer’s birthday party features a fantastic cake creation from Highland Bakery, which is a fabulous place for breakfast or lunch too. The cake consists of a giant sugar “Homer” standing 3-D in the middle of a vanilla cake baseball field with a French buttercream filling. Mmmmmm
Parents who purchase the $5 tickets online at Braves.com/summer will have their children entered to win the opportunity to announce the Braves starting line-up as a guest PA Announcer.
