Summer in Atlanta can be (ok, IS) very hot. The humidity can make it feel even worse. There is nothing I like better on a summer day than to cool off at a swimming pool. Whether you have a neighborhood pool you like to visit or you don’t have any regular place to swim, going to a new pool adds a little more fun to the mix. Here are three pools that offer FREE admission during select hours. Know others? Leave a comment and tell us.

Anyone know of any pools that have a dedicated toddler area? Like a wading pool or mushroom fountain???
Val, What part of town do you live in? The Buckhead YMCA is a great pool for toddlers. It has a zero entry and there are fountains. No mushrooms, but the kids enjoy the water shooting up. The pool is no more than about 4 ft. deep. They also have a big water slide for kids that can swim the length of the pool. Piedmont park also has a zero entry area and there is also a fountain area.
Val – there is a great toddler oriented pool in Decatur, right by Agnes Scott…McKoy Pool…has a fountain, zero entry and a large area just a foot or two deep. On Friday mornings from 10-12 AM, they have a mommy & me/daddy & me dedicated time for kids under 5.
lksmama – thanks for adding, McKoy sounds like a great pool.
