Movies in Atlanta with kids: Flapjacks and a Flick

Movies in Atlanta with Kids | Flapjacks and FlicksWhat: Flapjacks and a Flick
Where: The Movie Tavern at Tucker
When: Every Saturday at 9 am
Cost: $9 per child $10.50 per adult

Thanks to Spark St. Jude for telling me about Flapjacks and a Flick at The Movie Tavern at Tucker. Every Saturday morning at 9 am, you can get all-you-can-eat pancakes and a family movie. The price includes the movie ticket, select drinks and all-you-can-eat pancakes. My boys would love this and I know we’d get our money’s worth, my little guy can pack away the pancakes.

I’m not sure how they do the pancakes as I haven’t been to this show. Do you eat them in your lap or is there a table? If you’ve been, let us know how it works.

Looking for other unique movie options with kids? Check out the Silver Scream Spookshow at the Plaza Theatre the last Saturday of every month.

I have been there with my kids to see a non-flapjack movie. They have rows of chairs with a small bar like table running in front of each row. So everyone has plenty of room for their food.

Oh it is a pretty cool place. I live in Tucker and I’ve taken my boys. They have taken out every other row of seats and there is a long bench table in front of your seats (still plenty of leg room) so very easy to eat while watching the movie. Have fun! Tiffany

We went right after they opened and it was a huge disappointment. We got there 15 minutes before the show and stood in line to get our drinks. Then I spent the first 45 minutes of the movie hearing “Mommy, where are our pancakes? I’m starving!” When the pancakes finally arrived, my son was out of juice so I gave him mine. It’s supposed to be all you can eat, but no one ever came back to ask us if we wanted more. And the people in front of us came in after the movie had started and didn’t get their pancakes until about 5 minutes before it ended. I hope they’ve fixed things because it was really bad.

Vickie, Thanks for sharing. It appears they may have worked the bugs out of the new operation based on the other comments here. It sounds like such a neat idea. Anyone else been recently? How was the service for the pancakes?
