Springtime Means School Fun Fairs

School Fairs

Clockwise from top left: Lucy Bianchi (daughter of Jenny and Greg Bianchi), Tatum Hunt (daughter of Tricia and Steve Hunt), Keisha Harris (ECS faculty), Calder Shurling (daughter of Stephanie and Fielder Shurling), Bev Benedict (daughter of Claire and Gordon Benedict) and Cole Hatfield (son of Meredith and Brooks Hatfield)

What: Fun Fair
Where: Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church, 2715 Peachtree Rd.
When: Saturday, April 17, 10 am – 2 pm
Cost: Tickets are $.50 a piece. Games are 1 – 3 tickets

It’s Springtime, which means it’s time for school festivals like Second Ponce de Leon’s Fun Fair. So dig out the goldfish bowl, or go to the pet store and buy one before they’re sold out, and join us for the festivities.

Geared toward the preschool set, but a good time for all ages, the Fun Fair includes numerous bounce houses, a petting zoo (always a favorite for the little ones), pony and train rides, a race track with all forms of electric cars and old fashion fun like a bean bag toss, duck pond and the ever popular cake walk. Adults, there is also a silent auction with items just for you.

No time for games? Stop by and pick up lunch from Five Star BBQ or Chick-fil-A. A BBQ plate is just 10 tickets ($5). My husband, a certified BBQ judge (really), thinks Five Star alone is worth the trip. They’ll be cooking on site, so just follow the wonderful smell.
