Winter is a great time for swimming. Last winter I did a post on the Bethesda Park Aquatic Center in Gwinnett County. It was one of the most popular posts I’ve ever done. This fantastic pool isn’t very crowded and features an indoor leisure/water park pool with beach entry, giant waterslide that exits and then reenters the building, river channel, hydrotherapy benches, water play structures, vortex, ceiling spray, and a four-lane instructional pool and wet classroom. Water basketball and volleyball. They do require parents to be in a bathing suit in the water with young children and everyone needs to pay regardless of whether or not you are swimming.
Tommorrow, we’ll feature another great indoor pool on the other side of town. Know of any other indoor pools? Tell us about them and we’ll do a round up post.

I personally have taken my family of 8 there for 2 years. We LOVE it !! The last hour, before close, it is half price. They also offer homeschool days, on the first and third Mondays where you can go and meet other homeschoolers. The staff is awesome as well. I HIGHLY recommend Bethesda Aquatic Center !!
Thanks for all the comments. Jessica, I’m working on the So. Cobb Aquatic Center post now. Send me a link to your blog post and I’ll include it. Maria, Thanks for the heads up to a facility in Douglasville.
Anyone have suggestions of a fun water park destination? I’ve heard good things about Wolf Creek Lodge.
Dani, Thanks for the additional tips.
Another great indoor pool from Gwinnett county is the Bogan Aquatic Center. It’s perfect for North metro residents.
I wrote a post about it last year.
