Winner: Congratulations to the winner of the High Museum of Art membership – Lesley. Lesley, send me an email (sue@fieldtripswithsue.com) with your address and I’ll send you the information on your membership.
Yesterday on CBS Better Mornings Atlanta I met Harriet Tubman and Fredrick Douglas. They did a performance last night, but I asked them to send me info on where they’ll be in the future so I can let all of you know. As Black History Month gets under way, I’m sure there are lots of fabulous events. If you know of some good ones, let us know or post something on the Field Trips with Sue facebook page.
If you weren’t up at 5:50 and 6:50 am yesterday, here is the clip of the segment and here is what we talked about:
American Adventures offers $10 deal through Feb.
Fulton County Free Day and Museums on Us Weekend at the High Museum of Art
The Atlanta Ballet’s Cinderella and the Ritz Carlton’s Glass Slipper Luncheon (post coming next week on the Ballet, but if you want to get your tickets to this performance now, use code “SLIPPER” for a 20% discount. The Ritz Carlton luncheon is this weekend.)
Musuems on Us at the Atlanta History Center (See the Olympic Exhibit to get excited for next week’s Opening Ceremonies) FYI – The link here says Fernbank is a participant of the Museums on Us program. I believe they have pulled out, so check the Museums on Us webpage for participating museums before you go.

Hey Sue – what happened to the Jekyll Island package – are you still giving that one away or is the Birthday Bash over now? (If it is … can’t wait for next year’s bash!)
Liz, Jekyll said they wanted to donate a package, but after contacting them twice, they haven’t gotten back to me, so I’m sorry, I don’t have anything from them to give away. Maybe next year. Yup, the Birthday Bash is over. Like any good toddler, we celebrated for an entire month! We’ll still have give-a-ways from time to time, but we’ll be moving back to our regularly scheduled programming next week. Thanks for playing and please keep commenting and letting me know what you think.
