This summer I wrote about A Day Out with Thomas in North Carolina. Well, Thomas is now visiting Cordele, a short two hour drive south of Atlanta.
As I said in my last post, if you have a Thomas fan, or a child that likes trains, this is a great excursion. The highlight of the experience is a 25 minute train ride on the real Thomas the Tank Engine. However, children also get to meet Sir Topham Hatt, the conductor of the railroad. Additional activities include arts & crafts, storytelling, Thomas videos, live music, hay bale maze, temporary tattoos (My youngest LOVES tattoos.), bounce houses and more. There is also a Thomas store, so if your holiday theme is trains, you’ll be set.
If you’d like to win tickets to see Thomas, Field Trips with Sue is giving away a family 4 pack and a Thomas the Tank Engine DVD. The tickets are for Sunday, Nov. 1 at 11 am. I know it’s a little early and I’m working on getting the option of a later time, but this is it for now. If you are interested in winning the tickets and the DVD, leave a comment below or on the Field Trips with Sue Facebook page (www.facebook.com/fieldtripswithsue). This one is a short turn-a-round, so we’ll announce the winner on Friday and your tickets will be at Will Call. We’ll mail you the DVD.

What a great site you have here! My son is a HUGE Thomas fan (you should see his collection) and being able to see Thomas in person would make his year! Keep up the wonderful job you are doing on this site!

We would love to be included in the contest — you would ABSOLUTELY make my son's day (no…his month! no…his year!) if he got to see Thomas!

My two year old son is obsessed with Thomas! He even sleeps in a Thomas bed. We would love to be able to take him to see his favorite train.
I have enjoyed getting your emails. I never have to wonder what to do with the kids, you always provide plenty of inexpensive suggestions to keep the kids active. I would appreciate the opportunity to included in the drawing. We live on the southside of town and this would be a close trip to make. Keep sending us wonderful (inexpensive) fun suggestions!

Every morning (and I do mean every morning) my three year old son asks – why does Thomas run on tracks? Why does Bertie drive on the road? Why can't Thomas drive on the road? If we win maybe he can get all the answers from an expert. Thanks for all the great info.
My four year old grandson is a huge Thomas and friends fan. He is constantly learning from everything Thomas. Thank you for such a good educational tool. For him to see Thomas would mean everything.ds
I am writing here to try to enter for this "Win Tickets to See Thomas"…. We have never been to see or ride with this real Thomas Engine in GA nor in NC although we have been big fans of Thomas for a long time since my daughter turned 2. She is now 5 and we have a little one at 13 months. We would be more than grateful for any opportunity we could win the tickets to participate at this.
However, regardless of this entry or not, we also would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful and amazing job you have done and have brought us to participate in many fun family activities around Atlanta. We just can't thank you enough. I wish we had known about your website sooner. We came across with it around May this year and have gone to Artspalooza, Target Free Family Day at Woodsruff Arts Center & we got a good deal on family pack tickets for Disney on Ice…all based on the info from your site. Your website is full of wonders and it is our great resources to get great deals for the family. We are just so thankful for all that you do and have done! Raising a family is not easy, with your info and great things-to-do suggestions, it helps a lot. Million of thanks!
Wow Guys, Thanks. To think a few weeks ago I was wondering if anyone was really reading the blog. I truly appreciate all the kind words and am so glad the site has helped folks enjoy this great city. I'm continually amazed at how many fun things there are to do and the fact that you don't necessarily have to spend a lot to enjoy them. Please continue to comment and let me know when you take advantage of something, how it was or if you have a suggestion go ahead and let me know.
Thanks to you, Sue, for everything!
I want to show you how much we have benefited from your awesome deals and suggestions.
(1) The video we took our 5-yr-old at Target Family Day. They have the musical instrument petting zoo which we absolutely loved. We were just thrilled to have this chance to let our 5-yr-old to explore some of the musical instruments. It was so inspiring and Alma loved this experience. She later told me she wanted to learn music.
