There are several festivals to choose from this weekend. Here’s a quick look at some options, so get out and enjoy this beautiful weather.
Atlanta BBQ Festival at Turner Field
This festival is free, but there is a $5 donation for the children’s area. The money raised goes to the Hudson Family Foundation. The Foundation was started earlier this year by Braves pitcher Tim Hudson and his wife Kim and supports programs for children. The children’s area has a variety of inflatables and a baseball clinic from 10 – 12.
Overture of the Arts, Performing Arts Festival at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center
This public arts festival offers a preview of upcoming performances in metro Atlanta. Participating organizations include: The Georgia Ballet, Piccadilly Puppets, Theatre on Main, Center for Puppetry Arts, Atlanta Broadway Series, and Spitzer Dance Company. For a full list and performance times, see the website. The event is free, but ther is a $5 fee for parking at the Center.
