What: Four tickets and a parking pass to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
When: Saturday, Aug. 15, 8 pm
Where: Verizon Amphitheater at Encore Park in Alpharetta
Cost: Free, for Fulton County Residents
Thanks to Atlanta on the Cheap and Access Atlanta for this great freebie. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is giving away 4,000 lawn tickets to its last concert of the season at the Verizon Amphitheater at Encore Park in Alpharetta.
I’ve never been to the Symphony, but it has been on my list for a long time. I decided long ago that I’d see any band at Chastain if the Symphony were playing with them. It adds so much when you can feel the music in addition to hearing it. The show doesn’t start until 8 pm, so this may be an event where I leave the kids at home and grab a bunch of girl friends. Anyone in?
For those of you who follow the Symphony, the show features the U.S. debut of 16-year-old guest conductor Ilyich Rivas. The program includes Verdi’s “Vespri” Overture, Tchaikovsky’s Smyphony No. 4 and Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, performed by Elena Urioste. The evening will end with fireworks.
Fulton County residents with proof of residency may pick up four free tickets and a parking pass at the Verizon Amphitheatre box office or the Woodruff Arts Center box office.
The giveaway is made in partnership with the Fulton County Arts Council.

Hi, I would like to know when is the next time you have free admission to THE ZOO, or next event (free).
Thank you,
Oliva
Olivia, I just report on free events that I find. You can search the site under the keyword FREE to see what has been offered in the past and then check with them to see if they’ll have the offer again. You can check out a family pass to the zoo at any Fulton County Library (you must be a Fulton Co. Resident) If you have a Bank of America card, check out their Museums on Us program. Also, Fulton Co. residents can get in free to the High Musuem the first Sat. of every month and The Center for Puppetry Arts Museum the first Sat. of every month.
