When: Saturday, Aug. 1 from 10 – 5 pm.
Cost: Free
On the first Saturday of every month, the High Museum of Art welcomes Fulton County residents to the Museum for free. You must show proof of residency and students attending college or university in Fulton County are also eligible with their valid college ID. The tickets allow entrance to see the current exhibits, as well as the permanent collections.
This weekend, watch the family film Linnea in Monet’s Garden at 1 and 3 pm in the Green Family Education Center Lecture Room. Linnea in Monet’s Garden is one of my favorite books and chronicles a little girls adventures with her friend Mr. Bloom as they set off for Paris to see Monet’s paintings and his home at Giverny.
Then, participate in an art-making workshop in the studio where you can mimic Monet’s style and Paint en plein-air (weather permitting).
