This train tour is based on the fantastic book by Chris Van Allsburg called The Polar Express. The Polar Express comes to life when the train departs the Bryson City depot for a journey to the “North Pole”. Guests on board enjoy hot chocolate and treats while listening and reading the Polar Express. When you arrive at the North Pole, Santa Clause is waiting. He board the train and greets each child and presents them with a special memento – most likely a silver bell just like in the book. On the return trip guests participate in a holiday carol sing a long. The ticket price also includes admission to the Smoky Mountain Trains Museum in Bryson City.
