Thanks to Laura Sumlin for sending this one on to me. Artspalooza is a showcase of the professional performances and workshops available through the Young Audiences program at the Woodruff Arts Center.
Enjoy free performances from YA’s musicians, dancers, puppeteers storytellers, visual artists, and theatre artists. In addition, families can participate in arts-making activities such as, papermaking, mask-making, mural painting, and even learning how to be a cartoon artist! A complete list of performers in online including Piccadilly Puppets and Andy Offutt Irwin. I’ve worked with Andy before, he is hysterical, theatrical and just an all around great guy and performer. He’s also an amazing whistler, just see the video below.
If you plan to attend, make your reservations soon. I went online and they had already sold out the Aug. 15 date. Aug. 22 and 29 are still available. Time slots are 10 – 12 or 12:30 – 2:30.

I took my boys to Artspoolza and the LOVED it. I couldn't get them out of the shows in the theater to partake in the hour long acting workshops. We did finally make it to the crafts. The workshops would have been perfect for my older two (ages 9 and 11) The younger one (5) liked the shows and enjoyed the crafts. This is an incredible opportunity to sample many different performers and styles. There were storytellers, actors, improv groups (laughing matters was our favorite) dancers… in short, something for everyone.
