Cost: FREE
Barnes and Noble’s summer reading program is a great way to motivate kids to read over the break. Those that read any eight books receive a voucher for a free book at Barnes and Noble. The list of free books is impressive and broken up by age group. Choose from such popular titles as Curious George for the early readers to the Percy Jackson series for more advanced readers.
Children must complete a summer reading journal stating the title of the book and their favorite part of the book. A parent or guardian signs the journal when it’s complete. There is even a Spanish-language version. The journal lists the eligible free books.
The books are first come, first served, so if you complete your journal earlier, you’ll likely have a better selection of titles. There is a limit of one form per school-age child grades 1 – 6.

Fantastic! Where do I get the form?
Catherine, This was a summer reading program. I’m sure they’ll do it again next summer and you can get the form at Barnes and Noble or online.
