It’s Springtime (at least by the calendar, if not the weather) which means it’s time for school festivals like Second Ponce de Leon’s Fun Fair. So dig out the goldfish bowl, or go to the pet store and buy one before they’re sold out, and join us for the festivities.
Geared toward the preschool set, but a good time for all ages, the Fun Fair includes numerous bounce houses, a petting zoo (always a favorite for the little ones), pony and train rides, a race track with all forms of electric cars and old fashion fun like a bean bag toss, duck pond and the ever popular cake walk. Adults, there is also a silent auction with items just for you.
No time for games? Stop by and pick up lunch from Five Star BBQ or Chick-fil-A. A BBQ plate is just 10 tickets ($5). My husband, a certified BBQ judge (really), thinks Five Star alone is worth the trip. They’ll be cooking on site, so just follow the wonderful smell.
Note: Second Ponce is around the corner from Frankie Allen Park. Wouldn’t a fresh BBQ sandwich be better than Buckhead Baseball concessions?
